We are BSSC

We are Basingstoke Synchronised Skating Club, we are a welcoming and friendly club that allows figure-skaters of all levels and ages to skate together. We take part in local and national competitions and occasionally compete abroad. BSSC have been competing Nationally and Internationally for over 20 years, we have held several British Titles and have had the opportunity to represent Great Britain at both Junior and Senior Synchronised Skating World Championships.

We as a club have been hired for many events including rink openings, TV adverts and a film. If you are interested in joining or have an enquiry about an event, please use the contact me page to get in touch.

Meet the Coaches

  • Fiona

    Head Coach

    Fiona has skated in numerous teams in the past and is our current head coach, she has been with the club for over 30 years. Skating many competitions and then becoming a coach. Visiting numerous countries as both skater and coach.

    In Fiona’s spare time she spends it with her family, mainly her two daughters. One of whom is in Snowdrops and the other being a gymnast. She also has a King Charles Cavalier called Bertie.

  • Nadia

    Level 2 Coach

    Nadia has been part of the club for over 30 years, from a young skater joining synchro to Captaining Storm at the World Championships numerous times. She has represented Team GB in many countries with numerous teams from the club.

    Nadia has two daughters who are following in her footsteps and are part of Snowdrops. She also spends lots of time with her family including her two dogs Daisy and Blue.

  • Imogen

    Level 2 Coach

    Imogen who started skating over 20 years ago, her love of synchro started on Saturday morning line skate sessions. Then to traveling to numerous countries and skating with different teams for the club. Also competing at two world championships representing Team GB alongside Nadia.

    In her spare time she enjoys time with her husband, one year old daughter (who often makes an appearance at the rink) and her Black Lab Ezra.
